aWebVisit - Summary

(from 07/May/2000:10:01:12 to 04/Jun/2000:11:13:20)

1. Introduction

aWebVisit extracts visitor information from WWW logfiles. For each visit, your web pages are then classified as an entry, transit, exit and/or hit&run page. The links followed during the visit to your website are classified as incoming, internal, outgoing and/or in&out links. If you are not familiar with these concepts, you will find more detailed explanations in the Help file.

The flow of visitors through your website can be summarised as follows :

Entry Transit Exit Hit&Run --> Entry --> Entry Incoming Incoming Internal Internal Outgoing Outgoing In&Out In&Out Exit --> Exit --> --> Hit&Run --> Hit&Run

Some global web maps are available. Try using aWebVisit-Map for individual page maps...

2. Logfile Information

Start date 07/May/2000:10:01:12
End date 04/Jun/2000:11:13:20
'Page' hits 631
'Image' hits 92
Hits from excluded hosts
Skipped entries 0
Valid entries 723

The 'page' hits represent 87.3 % of all valid hits on your website. The 'image' hits are excluded as specified in the current configuration of aWebVisit. You may want to exclude other types of pages (e.g. RealAudio, counters, ...) in a next run...

This is probably not a large enough sample for statistical analysis. Please use logfiles covering a longer period of time...

3. Visit Information

Count

26.1 % of your visitors visit at least two pages on your site, which is not so good. Have a closer look at the entry pages and see if you might keep them for a while...

It was also the longest visit in duration.

4. Page Information

Total 631 100.0   69 100.0   1 9.1 356 56.4 /

It is worthwhile spending some time on this table. Notice for instance that of the 631 page visits, 39.8 % are hit & runs. Or that of the 69 different pages on your website, 17.4 % are used as an exit page at least once.

Based on the 126 entries to your website, you can also see that 84.9 % of your visitors use page / to enter your site, and 54.0 % use the same page right before leaving your website. And the same entry page is also responsible for 64.1 % of the hit & runs.

5. Link Information

Total 147 100.0   27 100.0   1 5.4 68 46.3 / /

Interpretation of this table is similar to the one above. Note that redirects by your web server will also appear as links, and that frames will generate links between the main frame and its children.

Since 69 different pages were visited and 27 different links were followed on your website, we can say that visitors usually follow 0.4 links per page. This means that you may not have enough hyperlinks on your site, or that they are hardly ever used.
