I have had both the pleasure of meeting and listening to this band. Let me introduce you to them. Brian Grinnell on keyboards, rhythm, lead, and vocals; Dan Orlowski on drums and vocals; Keith Pervose on bass and vocals; Dave Hill on lead, rhythm, and vocals; and Ernie Erwin on lead, rhythm, and vocals. Madman Mike Motz is normally on lead guitar and vocals, but he has been in poor health. Kidney failure, diabetes, and the loss of his good leg have really slowed him down. But, due to his fellow musicians, loyal friends, and loving family, he is getting better. Good luck, Mike!
Colt 45 is now the house band at Shooter's inside the Superbowl Bowling Alley in Fowlerville. It's just off the I-96 expressway. Colt 45 has been known chiefly as a country band, but they have added a lot of classic rock and roll. There is an excellent variety of music to please just about any music lover.
You may have seen these guys play the Free Stage at the Ionia Free Fair like I have before. A real crowd pleaser. The crowd (including myself) wished they could have played longer. Colt 45 was also in the 1996 Lansing Mother's Day Parade and Christmas Parade. Guys for all seasons by the looks of things!

All of them have been playing music since they were young kids. Dan started with his mother's pots and pans for a drum set, much to her annoyance! Brain grew up in the music business, since his father owns Gimble's Music. Keith is a real fan of Elvis and in this reporter's (and the general public's) opinion, he does an excellent job of singing Elvis tunes. I didn't get a chance to talk to Ernie and Dave -- I'm sorry.
I can say that these guys' antics on stage will make you laugh and smile with pleasure from listening to fine music. Colt 45 is a band you shouldn't just take my word about, but go hear them for yourselves.
