APPROACH and TREATMENT

My staff and I are proud to offer you a holistic, functional approach to vision care. Symptoms that are especially helped by this approach include: eyestrain, headaches, excessive blinking and rubbing of the eyes, avoidance of reading, falling asleep easily when reading, double vision, changing vision, poor handwriting, poor spelling, miss copying from the blackboard at school, poor depth perception, lazy and crossed eyes and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Together, we work out a treatment plan that meets your needs.

SERVICES OFFERED

We offer vision and eye health examinations where we consider your lifestyle, work and play habits, nutrition including supplement intake, and general health. We offer general nutritional counseling, stress relieving lenses and vision exercises, in addition to providing professionally fit eyeglasses and contact lenses. For children with learning challenges we offer visual perceptual testing and training. Often children and adults labeled as having Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD or ADHD) have visual attention problems that are amenable to vision training exercises. We offer a developmental approach to lazy eye (amblyopia) and crossed-eyes (strabismus), which often includes vision training exercises. Dr. Sapossnek holds seminars where she discusses her integrative model of vision care and how it relates to vision and school performance, Attention Deficit Disorder, computer use and eye health.
