Lakewood Links, Inc, is a classic championship 18 hole golf course designed and constructed by J. Porter Gibson of Charlotte, North Carolina and Santee, South Carolina.From the chamionship tees this classic plays 6,857 yards through rolling wooded hills to a par 72 and features 10 holes with water, one of which includes an island green for the par thirteenth.
The club house featuring traditional southern design is available for members and daily guests with a staffed pro-shop-merchandise area and a grill with club seating. Adjacent to the club house is a practice and instruction area, a putting green and golf cart storage.
Lakewood Links, Inc. is a planned development in 430 acres of well wooded homesites and private lakes located along U.S. Highway 15 South near Sumter, South Carolina.
The community offers estate settings for single family dwellings many of which are on the lakes or on the golf course.
