Philadelphia's
Story

by
John Johnstone

This is the Flat Rock Turnpike Bridge (covered bridge) spanning the Schuylkill River between Domino Lane and Lower Merion (circa 1830). It was built in 1810 and destroyed in 1850. In the background are early Manayunk mills.
