Timothy M. Brouse, P.E.
Areas of expertise include architectural engineering, civil engineering, structural engineering, computers, multimedia, claims analysis, construction inspection, scheduling, and geotechnical engineering. He has been involved with the design of residential housing, high-rise structures, hospital facilities, interstate roadways, bridges, and oil refining facilities. He has also participated in the analysis, presentation, and resolution of claims on many international projects including a U.S. Embassy, lock and dam systems, interstate roadways, bridges, resorts, oil platforms, and entertainment facilities. His services have been used by firms such as Trauner Consulting Services, Associated Engineering Consultants, Inc., and Capital Project Management, Inc.
His training and experience in the fields of architecture and engineering, combined with natural artistic talents, make Mr. Brouse an innovative designer. As well, he is a cost effective project manager for translating complex concepts into layman's terms, using cutting edge digital multimedia. These skills are ideal for planning, analyzing, and presenting complex concepts on the Internet, or in the boardroom, courtroom, or zoning board meeting.
During his internship, Mr. Brouse performed analysis as a Geotechnical Engineer for SITE-Blauvelt Engineers, Inc. He was also a Construction Inspector and Field Engineer at one time. Mr. Brouse is well versed in soils, exploratory drilling, deep drilled and driven foundations, shallow foundations, structural geology, geophysical explorations, pre-stressed concrete, post-tensioned concrete, cast-in-place concrete, asphaltic concrete, masonry, structural steel, wood construction, drainage systems, roofing systems, finish coatings, acoustics, architectural design, and scheduling. Mr. Brouse also edited and managed the metrication and re-write of several PADOT geotechnical manuals.
Mr. Brouse has been working with computers since 1980. He works with both the MacIntosh and Windows platforms, as well as various Internet applications. He has assembled computer systems, computer networks, and digital editing suites. He is experienced with software such as: Adobe Premiere, Primavera Project Planner, Fractal Poser, Wave Studio, Excel, Quattro, WordPerfect, Word, SB Slope, and Settle LG. He is also fluent with several CAD, draw, and paint applications. He is a published HTML programmer, and has also worked in BASIC and PASCAL languages.
Mr. Brouse has performed services for clients such as PADOT, VADOT, FDOT, US Navy, US Air Force, Coca-Cola, SUN Refineries, Disney Development Corporation, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Widener University, Temple University, The University of Pennsylvania, AO North America, and Zurich-Canada.
Mr. Brouse is a graduate of Drexel University where he received Bachelor of Science degrees in Architectural Engineering and Civil Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Florida, and Vermont.
Mr. Brouse is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and Chi Epsilon the Civil Engineering Honors Fraternity. He ranked seventh in class of fifty-five graduating architectural engineers, while he was a varsity letterman rowing for the Drexel Crew.
